Long time no see. I can tell you Mikaela that Finlands Svenska Televison also broadcasted Melodifestivalen live in Finland tradionally as they have done so several years now and I watched the whole show despite that 90% of the show I could not understand what presenters are speaking about despite all english speaking songs.
I was also suprised by the result as my favourite song did not succeeded and also I was suprised that there was so many foreign jury’s that gave their points.
And as a Finn I was also happy that person who told the result of Göteborg jury had Finnish name: Timo Räisänen, as in that area lives lots of Finns who moved in there to work at Volvo factories.
My number one favourite in Melodifestivalen this year was Pernilla Wahlgren sond ‘Jag Vill Om Du Vågar’ (I Wish If You Dare) and I also liked Eric Saade song ‘Manboy’ as they both were pretty high tempo songs.
Wanna make a bet? Which one Finland or Sweden, will be less successful in Eurovision in Oslo in the end of May?? This Finland is represented by two pretty blond woman duo called Kuunkuiskaajat (Moon whispers) who will sing in Finnish a song called ‘Työlkii ellää’. It’s a dialect of Eastern Finland and the title is in English something like ‘Work To Live’’ or something like that.
Next few months further will be very interesting don’t you think as in the beginning of May there is Ice hockey world Championship tournament in Germany. Then in the end of May Eurovision song contest in Norway and then finally in June World Cup in South Africa.
p.s. If you are willing to make a bet with me about that Eurovision song contest success the bet could be for example that if Sweden will be less successful than Finland you promise to send me a postcard from Stockholm and if Finland will be less successful in Eurovision I will send you a postcard from here where I live.
